I'm interested in learning new things and above all have a passion for online communication and for writing in general. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and a Master of Science degree from British universities. I'm especially proud of the MSc which I obtained as a mature student studying entirely online.

I was delighted to be a Treasure of the Day Hub winner in the HubPages Marks the Spot challenge, with my hub on The Best Beaches in Scotland: Edinburgh to St Andrews.

I won a Summer Sunshine Award for my look at How Animals Help People -- The Healing Power of Pets in aid of TLC Animal Shelter.

I also had a Lens of the Day with the Top 10 Tips for Female Snowboard Beginners and am proud of my growing collection of purple star and angel-blessed lenses.
